A young woman from the city of Andimeshk in Khuzestan province, named Ronak Tavasoolipour, 28 years old, was shot and killed by her suitor, Ali Shojaei, on Sunday, September 15, 2024. According to informed sources, the victim refused the suspect’s proposal to leave Andimeshk without her father’s knowledge. She was shot three times in front of a café. The suspect fled the scene after committing the crime.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
