Unnamed Woman
Age: Young
Stabbed to death: April 25, 2025
Residence: Baharestan, Isfahan
Perpetrator: Ex-husband
Excuse: Family disputes
On April 25,2025 , another young woman lost her life to gender-based violence in Iran.
While at work in a sewing workshop in the Golestan area of Baharestan, she was brutally attacked and killed by her ex-husband, who stabbed her repeatedly with a bladed weapon.
The so-called "motive" for this heinous crime was labeled as "family disputes."
According to Rokna, the 51-year-old man entered his ex-wife’s workplace, fatally assaulted her, and also injured the owner of the workshop.
After murdering his ex-wife, he attempted to harm himself and was taken to the hospital along with the injured workshop owner.
Another woman silenced forever — another life stolen by a system that fails to protect women from violence.

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2024 report, titled "Stop Violence Against Women and Girls." This report sheds light on the harrowing reality of femicide in Iran, where approximately one woman is killed every other day simply for being a woman.
StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
