On Monday, July 7, 2025, in Fuman, Gilan Province, a young woman named Niloufar Fotouhi — mother of an 11-year-old — was killed by a man identified as Mojtaba. According to informed sources, Mojtaba, who was married, had been in a relationship with Fotouhi under the false promise of marriage. When she decided to end the relationship, an argument broke out during which he struck her on the head, killing her. He then dumped her body in a water canal and fled the scene. Her body was discovered several days later, and the perpetrator was subsequently arrested.
