On Wednesday, May 7, 2025 (Ordibehesht 17, 1404 in the Iranian calendar), a 28-year-old young woman named Mobina Kondabi, originally from Baghu village in Bandar-e-Gaz County, Golestan Province, was shot with a hunting rifle by her husband in the city park of Kordkuy. She was wounded and passed away a few hours after being transferred to the hospital. The motive behind the murder was reported to be related to "honor."
According to informed sources, the approximately 30-year-old murderer shot his wife with a hunting rifle and fled the scene after committing the crime. He was eventually arrested. It is worth mentioning that Mobina Kondabi, who was also the mother of two children, was buried on Thursday.
