On May 4, 2025 , Samira Nourbakhsh, a 37-year-old woman from Kermanshah, was shot and killed by her suitor. She was murdered because she rejected his marriage proposal. The killer committed the crime around 9 p.m. on Saturday and fled the scene after the act. He has not yet been apprehended.
It is worth mentioning that Samira Noorbakhsh had previously experienced an unsuccessful marriage and was the mother of a child.
