A woman and her brother were killed by her husband using a firearm in the city of Malayer, a district in Hamadan Province. The motive for the crime has been reported as "family disputes."
Recently, a 33-year-old man in one of Malayer's villages murdered his wife and her brother with a firearm before fleeing the scene. According to IRNA, the killer was arrested in Tehran, along with an accomplice who assisted in his escape. The perpetrator confessed to the murders of both individuals.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
