A 53-year-old woman was severely injured by a blow to the head with a pickaxe by her husband around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Mashhad. She was transferred to Razavi Hospital but later passed away. According to the Khorasan newspaper, the victim, who had a consciousness level lower than five percent and was in critical physical condition, died.
"Javad R." admitted to committing this act after his arrest, explaining that due to family disputes and dissatisfaction with his emotional relationship with his wife, he struck her in the head with the pickaxe while she was asleep.
