A young woman in one of the suburbs of Tabriz was murdered by her husband. Initially, the suspect claimed that the victim had committed suicide. According to the report by Rokna, in late December 2023, a young woman in Tabriz, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was shot with a gun by her husband and killed.
Rokna's report indicates that the young man's horrific act was due to his dissatisfaction with his wife's way of cooking and her excessive use of tomato paste in preparing various dishes, including omelets. The suspect initially claimed at the crime scene that his wife had committed suicide and ended her own life.
This young couple also has a 5-year-old daughter.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
