On Sunday, May 11, 2025 (21 Ordibehesht), a young woman was murdered by her husband through strangulation in their shared home in Tehran.
According to Etemad Online, quoting police officials in Tehran, the woman "died due to blockage of blood flow to the brain caused by strangulation."
After committing the crime, the perpetrator left their residence and hid at his brother’s house. He was eventually identified and arrested after his brother informed the authorities. He has confessed to the premeditated murder of his wife.
The killer stated that his motive was "extreme anger" and admitted that, following an argument over buying a mobile phone, he strangled his wife with his hands in a fit of rage, causing her death
