On December 8, 2023, Roya Amini, a 24-year-old from the village of "Hangrovan" in the Sirvan district of Urmia, was killed by her father-in-law. Roya Amini was shot to death. After the murder, her father-in-law, a soldier named Badouzadeh, fled the scene and is currently in hiding.
