A 17-year-old boy named Mohammad Sarfarazi and a 15-year-old girl named Zinat Piroozi, residents of Kheirabad, were killed by the girl's relatives due to honor motives, and two other citizens were injured. Informed sources stated, "The girl's relatives, who became aware of her relationship with the boy, lured him with a premeditated plan, abducted him on the evening of Wednesday, June 5th, tortured him until morning, which led to his death, and then shot him in the head, neck, and other parts of his body. According to this report, the girl was also killed by her uncle on Saturday, June 8th, in connection with this matter."

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
