On Tuesday, January 5, 2025, a man in one of the villages of Lahijan killed three members of his wife's family, including her 76-year-old father, 48-year-old mother, and 38-year-old brother, using a cold weapon. According to a report from news agency Tasnim, the 52-year-old suspect was arrested after committing the murders and stated that the motive for the crime was family disputes.
