SFI’s Mission and Approach: SFI’s mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. The initiative monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. The organization also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran. “This report highlights the urgency of addressing femicide in Iran and provides alarming data for advocates of women’s rights and activists against violence against women and girls,” said Marjan Keypour, founder and director of StopFemicideIran. “We must continue to work together to break the cycle of violence and ensure that these women’s lives are not forgotten.”
SFI remains committed to its mission and will continue to collect data, raise awareness, and advocate for policy changes that prioritize the safety and dignity of women in Iran.
