On May 28th, the verdict of execution was carried out on a woman named Elahe Nourikia in Vakilabad Prison, located in Mashhad. Elahe Nourikia had been arrested three years ago on charges of murder and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system.
According to the recorded statistics from the Bureau of Statistics and Documentation of the human rights organization Hengaw, at least six women have been executed in Iranian prisons over the past five months.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
