Maryam Rezamjoo, a first-year resident in the specialty of radiation oncology at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, along with her mother and brother, was killed for a family disputes by her ex-husband. This tragic incident occurred on March, 14, 2024.
Reports indicate that this young woman had separated from her husband some time ago and was living with her mother and brother. The perpetrator, upon visiting their home, killed them all and is currently on the run.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
