According to Hengaw, on the evening of Saturday, September 7, 2024, a 36-year-old woman was killed by her father with a knife in Ilam. The motive for the crime was reported as "family disputes."
According to informed sources, the 70-year-old perpetrator left the scene after killing his daughter and eventually turned himself in to the police a few hours later, citing "family disputes" as the reason for the murder.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
