According to the Tasnim news agency, a 42-year-old woman was murdered by her husband in her home in Karaj on September 12.
The killer was arrested by police after a covert operation in less than 72 hours after the murder. In custody, he cited family disputes as the motive for his act.

SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
