In Khorramabad, a 27-year-old woman named Rezvan Papi fell victim to femicide, poisoned by her husband through the ingestion of rice pills. The murderer was released after just six days of imprisonment, with the consent of the victim's father. According to a report from the Human Rights Organization Hengaw on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Rezvan Papi, whose identity has been confirmed, lost her life after being hospitalized for a few hours at Goldasht Hospital in Khorramabad. She was forced into marriage at the age of 16 and was also the mother of one child.

SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
