According to Rokna, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, a middle-aged woman in Semnan was attacked by her husband with a kitchen knife at their home and was murdered. The accused man committed the crime because of "honor" and had taken the life of his wife. The woman, who had been injured by her husband in front of their 12-year-old shared child, ultimately succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The daughter stated: "My father was a suspicious person. He was suspicious of my mother's behavior and doubted her over every small matter, leading to arguments and repeatedly physically assaulting her." It is worth mentioning that the accused, after his criminal act, attempted suicide by taking pills and was then transferred to a medical center in Tehran.
