On April 16, 2024, a 43-yr-old woman, whose identity has not been verified yet,was killed by her husband in one of the gardens in Falavarjan County,Isfahan.The murderer tied his wife's hands and feet to a chair in their personal garden,suffocating her by wrapping adhesive tape around her neck.The killer, after being arrested, stated that the motive for killing his wife was due to their disagreement over his remarriage, which happened without his wife's knowledge. After the arguments that ensued between them, he decided to kill her.

StopFemicideIran's mission is to combat femicide in Iran through a three-prong approach: documentation, education, and empowerment. SFI monitors and documents femicide cases, educates the public and human rights activists, and empowers grassroots organizations to advocate for women's rights. SFI also aims to raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms to prevent and respond to femicides in Iran.
