On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Mariya ShirMohammadi, a resident of Eivangharb and living in Bandar Abbas, was killed by her suitor using a handgun in the city of Eivangharb. The accused, who was from Borujerd, had repeatedly threatened to kill the victim after receiving a rejection for marriage. It is worth mentioning that the accused also ended his own life by committing suicide after killing Maria ShirMohammadi.
