On Sunday evening 14 June 2020, 22-year-old Reyhaneh Ameri will come home to her parents in Kerman around 11:30, this is too late according to her father Abdollah Ameri and there will be an argument.
Abdollah is a very conservative and intolerant man with a collection of knives and axes and he lives in a country where judges and Mullahs do not severely punish the fathers who murder their daughters if the murder was committed because of the ‘honour’.
He had once hit his daughter so hard with an iron rod that her body was completely covered in bruises. Her sister would have been able to free her from their father’s abusive hands just in time.
This sister would have knocked on the door of her parental home around half past eight on Monday, but no one answered. She let herself in and saw that it was chaos, Reyhaneh’s room was locked, she waited for her parents to find out what had happened.
It is assumed that her father came home first, but he chose to flee when he saw his daughter’s distrustful eyes.
Not long after, the mother came home and the two of them entered Reyhaneh’s room, where they found bloody clothes and blood spatter on the walls.
The police were called in and they discovered that the blood traces lead to the father’s car. According to the police the traced data from his mobile phone showed that he was in a nearby village and they arrested him on his return home.
Although the police found traces of blood in the trunk of the car, he denied having any knowledge of his daughter’s whereabouts.
The police kept searching for Reyhaneh’s body until 11 o’clock that night, then, according to the rumours, Abdollah proudly admitted that he had murdered his daughter.
He took the officers to the place where he had dumped his daughter, somewhere in a open spot on the outskirts of town.
If Abdollah would have committed these acts in Germany, he would probably get more than 20 years imprisonment from judges.
